I work primarily in time-based media to explore the complex place where the following concepts merge: popular culture and sub-culture, sonic performance and musical entertainment, public and private space, urban and rural environments, and lastly, the archival document and the art object.
I use context as a primary medium for these investigations of sonic, social, environmental, and cultural phenomena.
I received my MFA from the University of California at Davis. I am currently the Head of Sculpture at the University of West Florida, the Art Editor for the Panhandler, a journal of contemporary visual and literary arts, and was the visiting lecturer of Sculpture at Stanford University, summer 2009.
